Friendship Group next meet on Monday 27 March at 7pm in Armadale Parish Church Hall. Members and friends names are now being taken for the outing to Ayr on Saturday 6 May. For further informatio­n or to book a seat call Grace on 731022. Prize Bingo Armadale Chapter OES are holding a fund raising pie, pea and prize bingo on Thursday 30 March in the Masonic Hall. Doors open 7pm with eyes down at 7.30pm. All welcome. Armadale Shed Weaving at the shed is being enjoyed by those taking part. For metal work the shed now has a purpose built welding table. The wood work section is busy and is used for refurbishi­ng a variety of items with wood turning taking place on a recently purchased new lath so that the shed now have three. Harmony Dance Club meet from 1.30pm – 3.30pm in Armadale Community Centre and Library when existing and new members will be warmly welcomed. Easter Fayre Armadale Parish Church fund raising group are holding an Easter Fayre in the Church hall on Saturday 8 April and further details will follow. Armadale Community Council – meet in Armadale Community Centre at 7pm on the second Thursday of the month. Credit Union situated in Armadale Community Centre on Wednesday’s from 9.15am – 10.00am and will continue to be in the Community Centre on a weekly basis. Posters are on display in Armadale Community Centre promoting what they have to offer to customers. The Credit Union are also in attendance at The Dale Hub on Wednesdays from 10am – 11am. Why not come along and spend a lovely afternoon chatting over tea and doing your own craft work? All welcome. Memory Cave Café takes place within Armadale Community Centre and Library for people with dementia and their carers and is supported by Alzheimer Scotland and run by volunteers from the Armadale community. The café takes place on the 3rd Friday of the month and the next café takes place tomorrow Friday. The café is a place where carers and family members can drop in at any time between 10am–noon with someone they are caring for with dementia where they will be warmly welcomed. The café provides a place to meet where people understand dementia, gain peer support and informatio­n, and enjoy a good blether with a varied programme each month

which includes games, music and crafts. All welcome.

Thrift Shop normally takes place in Armadale Church Hall on Tuesday mornings from 10am–noon but will be on holiday on Tuesday 4 and 11 April. Armadale Flute Band are looking to recruit new members. They need members for the flute and drum corps and also standard bearers for the Colour Party. Boys’ Brigade meet on a Thursday in Armadale Parish Church hall and it would be great to see existing brigaders and any boys who would be interested in joining the Brigade. The Anchors for (P2-P3’s) meet from 5.45pm-6.45pm and the Junior Section for (P4/P5/P6’s) meet from 6.45pm-8.15pm. Come along and enrol and meet new friends and have fun. Tuesday Women’s Interest Group meet in the Methodist Church Hall on the first Tuesday of the month at 2pm. Prize Bingo Armadale Thistle are holding a prize bingo on Friday 14 April in the Cavalier. Armadale Work Club weekly dropin club is available to jobseekers in Armadale Community Centre and Library. The aim of this club is to help local unemployed residents find a new job by providing resources and profession­al support in the local area. You will have the opportunit­y to share your experience­s and access support including producing CVs, completing applicatio­n forms, undertakin­g job search, learning interview techniques and you will have access to the most up to date vacancies. Charity Prize Bingo fund raising prize bingo has been organised by Jessie Haggerty and will take place in St Anthony’s Social Club tomorrow Friday. Doors open 7pm with eyes down at 7.30pm. Tickets £1.00 or pay at the door and includes tea and biscuits. All welcome.

Armadale Bowling Club The green officially opens for the season on 15 April and this year marks the Bowling Club’s 150th year. The function suite is available for private hire and informatio­n can be obtained from the club. Bingo for members and friends takes place on Wednesdays at 8pm and Saturdays at 7.30pm. The treasure chest draw also takes place on Saturday’s. Live entertainm­ent will take place on Saturday 1 April and the guest artiste is Dean Melville. A Karaoke will take place on Sunday 26 March between 7pm-11pm with every singer taking part being entered into a prize draw. Armadale Thistle are at home to Tranent on Saturday with the kick off at 2.30pm. The next fund raising prize bingo will take place on Friday 14 April in the Cavalier with doors opening at 7.30pm and eyes down at 8pm. Sunday 19 March lottery draw numbers were 2,3, 9, 19.
