Alzheimer Scotland are looking for volunteers to help at our Day Club that runs out from Whitburn. The day club is an active club and is for people with early onset dementia. Some of the activities involve going bowling, walks in the country parks, barge trips and visits to other attractions. This is an enjoyable and fun volunteering role and the volunteers will be well supported by the charity and given training for this role. Gala Day Volunteers Your Gala committee needs your help. This year Whitburn Gala Day on the Friday will be at a major disadvantage when we are putting the Gala park together. Six of our normal bodies who are probably the mainstay of our team are going to be missing as they have children of their own in the pageant and therefore have their own homes to work on, when you are missing that many from a committee of only fifteen it is going to have a major impact on our chances of producing a Gala to our normal standard. We therefore need to appeal to the people of Whitburn to come forward and offer your much needed help to assemble the park. If you are interested please give your name to any committee member or respond to this appeal. This is a serious situation and we hope the public will respond.
