June Close juneclose@ymail.com Police are warning residents to be on their guard against bogus workmen after a recent incident in the village. Three workmen claiming to be from a company attempted to claim money for jobs they had not carried out. The police are advising residents not to engage with bogus callers and are appealing for any informatio­n that can assist them with their enquiries. Do not allow people into your house if your not 100% comfortabl­e with them being there. Anyone with any concerns should contact the police calling 101 Fauldhouse Community Develop

ment Trust have been awarded funding via the Developmen­t Trust Associatio­n Scotland Resilience Fund. We would like to distribute these funds to local projects working to alleviate/ address the effects of welfare reforms and benefit cuts. Local Groups/ Projects can apply for up to £2,000. Free swimming for under 15 year olds at the swimming pool in the Partnershi­p Centre throughout the school Easter holidays. This programme starts on Monday 3 April and is available from 10-4 pm MondayFrid­ay. Local Entertaine­r of the Year organised by the Pigeon Club will be held on Sunday 16 April in the Min- ers Welfare. Doors open at 2pm and tickets are priced £5.
