Did you see thugs in car who carried out street assault?

police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Broxburn.

the incident happened around 3pm on sunday (March 26) on Easter road.

a 29-year-old man was outside a property when three men got out of a black 4x4 vehicle and began punching and kicking him to the head and body, causing him to fall to the ground.

the men then got back into the car and drove off.

officers are now urging anyone who can help trace the suspects to come forward.

they are described as being white, in their 20s and wearing hooded tops.

Detective Inspector steven Bertram from Livingston CID said:“the victim suffered a number of painful injuries, but declined medical attention and we are now conducting various lines of inquiry to trace those responsibl­e.

“anyone who witnessed this attack, or who has informatio­n that can assist with our investigat­ion is asked to come forward.

“We believe the vehicle the suspects used may have sustained damage to its windscreen and wing mirror during the disturbanc­e and so anyone who spots this car is also urged to contact police immediatel­y.”
