Last week the Monday Club were hosts to a celebration of the fact that it was twenty years since the Amenity Housing Development opened in the village. This was known as Kirk Care then and is now known as Trust Housing Housing Association. Residents of the development invited guests and club members all enjoyed a lovely meal served by Sherlock Catering. Rhona McLead the chief executive of Trust Housing said a few words and presented Sadie the local rep for the development with flowers and gift vouchers to mark her twenty years in that post. Then the entertainment began, Raymond Carse delighted the group with some accordion music, a bit of Magic and lots of fun with audience participation. Raymond had a surprise in store for club a member presenting him with a photo of them when they played in a band together almost fifty years ago. A most pleasant afternoon was had by all attending. Representatives of Trust along with Sadie took flowers to both Nellie Gilchrist the only original tenant and Mary Sharp as they were unable to attend the function. Another floral gift was sent to Nettie Strachan.
