Parkhead Galaday June 3rd. Did you know this event is open to everyone in the village, and for an annual fee of £9 per family you can join in the fun! The fee is due now and must be paid no later than May 26th. Due to a limited number of collectors extra provision has been put in place to ensure every family wishing to take part can sign up for this great community event. You can register and pay at the Harburn & West Calder Community Developmen­t Trust shop in the square or pop into West Calder Bowling Club any Monday evening from 8pm onwards. Would you like to support the Gala committee who work very hard every year to keep this family fun day going? We would really appreciate new members or helpers, everyone welcome to come along to a Gala planning meeting which take place the first Monday of every month in West Calder Bowling Club at 7:30pm to see what we do and get more informatio­n. Bowling Club Membership Fees. Members are advised that following the recent Annual General Meeting of West Calder Bowling Club, the Membership Fees are now due for renewal, for the Year 2017/18. Please note all fees must be paid by 30th April 2017. This year the Committee are asking the Bowling members if they could pay their Competitio­n Fees, for all Progressiv­e Competitio­ns, by 31st March 2017, at the latest, in order for the Tie Committee to make the draws, in time for the Opening of the Green on 15th April 2017. Fees will be collected in April on 13th, 20th, 27th & 30th (Between 7.30 & 9:00) No fees will be collected on Opening of Green day – 15th April 2017 Beavers Church Hall - Monday evening - 6.15 pm to 7.15pm - Age 6yrs to 8yrs Cubs Church Hall - Wednesday evening - 6.15pm to 7.30pm - Age 8yrs to 10yrs 6mnths Scouts Church Hall - Thursday evening - 6.30pm to 8.30pm - Age 10yrs6mths - 14yrs Explorer Section The Shed, Polbeth & West Calder Community Garden - Thursday evenings - 6.20pm to 8.30pm Age 14yrs to 18yrs. The café meets in West Calder Community Centre from 1.30 to 3.30pm. Raffle tickets cost £1 per strip and tea/coffee plus a biscuit or two costs 50p. So please come along and bring your friends. Everyone is welcome. Tuesday Club in Stewart Court is at 2pm every Tuesday with entertainm­ent followed by afternoon tea at a cost of £1.50 The Club is open to anyone in the Community. Polbeth Harwood Church There will be NO Sunday morning service on April 9th, a United Palm Sunday service will be held in the West Kirk at 10am. For further informatio­n visit us at west-kirk-polbeth-harwood.co.uk a warm welcome awaits The West Kirk of Calder Palm Sunday. United morning worship starts at 10am where a warm welcome awaits everyone. Part of this service will be led by children, who will then go out into the hall for a short movie and snacks. All children are invited to come along and join us and share in the fun! The Bible Class for older kids meets the second Sunday in every month, meeting first in the church at 9.45am. Everyone very welcome West Calder Spring Festival on 22 April from 10am-4pm. A day of activities being run in and around the West Calder area.
