Still a lot to play for

-

Livingston’s trip to Albion Rovers is the only League One fixture in the final weekend in which neither team has anything to play for.

Rovers have secured their place in next season’s League One but will part ways with manager Darren Young after the game due to budget cuts.

It’s set to be a cracking afternoon with play-off places at both ends of the table and the automatic relegation place still to be decided.

Bottom-placed Peterhead go into the last day knowing they must get a result at home to an Alloa Athletic side guaranteed to finish second and who will likely be resting players ahead of their bid for play-off success.

The Blue Toon sit a point behind Stenhousemuir with the Warriors facing Brechin City at home. City are in need of a result themselves to ensure they finish in the top four.

They head into the final round of games able to finish anywhere between third and sixth in the table.

Should Brechin suffer defeat, that could open the door for East Fife who need to beat Stranraer at Stair Park and hope results elsewhere go their way if their season is to continue.

The Fifers are three points off fourth spot but have a better goal difference than both Airdrie and Brechin.

Queen’s Park have to defeat Airdrie by four goals away from home to overtake the Diamonds and clinch a play-off place.
