-

Lothian Running Club’s Max McNeil produced one of his best performances as he scored victory in the Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon.

McNeil is currently studying at Oklahoma City University and completed the 13.1 mile course through the streets of the city in 1:09.51, which was over three minutes faster than his closest rival and not too far off his personal best, at Edinburgh in 2014.

Meanwhile, also in the States, the club’s Mhairi Inglis contested the third race in the Dash & Dine 5km Series in Boulder,Colorado.

Mhairi, who finished runner-up in the previous race, came home in third place on this occasion – despite her time of 20.00 being 14 seconds faster than in the previous week.

She sits joint-second in the female points standing with three races remaining.

On home soil, Josh Dack recorded a new personal best while running in the Scottish 10,000 metres Championship in Glasgow where a time of 33.24 placed him 14th overall.

A handful of members tackled the Highland Fling 53 Miles Ultra Trail Race from Milngavie to Tyndrum.
