So there we go folks, it’s all over for another season and what a season it’s been. We go up as champions, a whopping 19 points clear of secondplace Alloa, scoring 98 goals in the process and only conceding 46 in 46 league and cup games.

We’ve smashed record after record on the journey through League 1, but have gained very little credit from national press while doing so.

With victory last weekend we broke the 80-point barrier, and bettered a much-praised Dunfermline side who won this league last season, as well as winning more games, and gaining two more points.

So what’s stopping this talented side from emulating or bettering a Pars side next season who finished fifth in the Championship after promotion? Absolutely nothing.

Looking to next season, the primary goal will be eighth place, of course, but why not look further? With hard work mixed with the quality of which we have an abundance in this squad let’s aim higher.

This season has been outstanding, the fans have been treated to excellent football throughout the season, and last weekend was no different as we racked up our ninth win in a row.

We can now look forward to tying up the remaining squad members who haven’t yet renewed their deals and to signing new players to bolster our assault on the Championship.
