Funbox goes underwater

Children’s favourites FUNBOX will bring their new show ‘Underwater Adventure’ to the stage this summer.

Anchors away with Anya, Gary and Kevin (former stars of ‘The Singing Kettle’) for their all-new show Underwater Adventure, where they voyage beneath the waves to the bottom of the ocean.

There’s somefin fishy going on in their latest singalong tail.

The FUNBOX is locked and the gang will have to cause a splash because their magical keys are all tucked up in the seabed.

Can they find them all in time?

Packed with familiar favourites like ‘My Father Went To Sea, Sea, Sea’ and ‘Hole At The Bottom Of The Sea’, as well as brand new songs.

Dress up and join in the fun - dress as a mermaid or come as a fish, you’ll have a whale of a time and you may even get to help on stage.

The show takes place on Saturday, August 5, at 1pm and 3.30pm and on Sunday, August 6, 1pm and 3.30pm.

Tickets are priced £13.50, £48 family of four, £11 groups 10+ (plus one free with 10), £15.50 parent and child (up to 12 months with no seat allocation).

Also taking palce in August will be a conversati­on with artist Gary Woodley (Slade School of Fine Art) and resident artist Matt Morris.

The event, entitle d #’ Tool Talk’ will see Gary Woodley discuss his work which features many three-dimensiona­l media, including architectu­ral interventi­ons using various lighting technologi­es, as well as researchin­g three-dimensiona­l CAD modelling systems for topologica­l projection­s onto real and virtual spaces.

Gary has completed residencie­s and undertaken Henry Moore Institute funded research in computed sculpture at the Slade School of Fine Art (2003-4).

He is a mentor to Matt, with the two having known each other since 2013. Join them for an in-depth discussion on tools that draw and drawing tools.

The event takes place on Saturday, August 26, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and is free, but booking is essential.
