People’s Memories Cafe Meets the fourth Tuesday of the month 11am -12.30pm in the lounge of Bield’s sheltered housing, St Andrew’s Court, 20 Hawthorn Place, Uphall EH52 5BX. This friendly and supportive café is for people with dementia and their carers; anyone who likes to reminisce and share memories of ‘days gone by’ is also most welcome. Kirkhill Primary And Nursery The Parent Staff Council, are holding a fundraising, Pie, beans and bingo evening, tonight Thursday, May 25 from 6pm. Venue is The Club, Broxburn, adult tickets £5 and children £3. Ticket includes food and some bingo tickets. There will also be a raffle on the night. Citizens Advice Bureau West Lothian Has an outreach project every Friday 1pm, 2pm and 3pm at the Strathbrock Community Partnership Centre (Building B). We can help with problems such as benefits, debt, family and neighbour problems, consumer issues, employment, and tenancy issues. Bridge 19-40 Union Canal Society Canal Boat Trips on the restored narrowboat Bluebell will take place from Port Buchan Broxburn on Sunday, June 4 from 1pm to 4 pm. Boat Trips last approximately 1/2 hour and are run by Bridge 19-40 Union Canal Society which is a charity run by volunteers. Prices are £3 adults and £2 children. Why not come along and enjoy a trip along the canal and enjoy a tea or coffee on route? Booking is not necessary, just turn up on the day. As previously stated Bluebell is a restored narrrowboat which the society has lovingly restored from a complete wreck to the narrowboat she is now. This took approximately 3 years to complete and all monies received are used for further restoration of Bluebell. The volunteers are not paid and just have a love for canals and canal boats.

Playgroup Held at Strathbrock Community centre sessions run Monday to Friday 9.15am to 11.30am and Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons 12.30pm - 2.45pm We welcome children aged between 2 years 3 months to 5 years (they do not need to be toilet trained) The fee for attending playgroup is £5 per session and this includes a healthy snack,

milk and water. The playgroup is open term-time only.

Drop In to Weigh-and-Go Weigh2Go West Lothian is a free, weekly weigh-in service that provides help and support on losing weight. There is also information and signposting on what’s on in your area to help you maintain a healthy weight. No appointment is necessary just drop in. Sessions take place at

Get Moving Activity Programme - Takes place at Strathbrock Community Education Centre on Mondays and Thursdays from 5.15pm – 6pm. Monday is Kettle Bells. Work on muscle tone and fitness levels. Bells are supplied or you can bring your own. On Thursdays, it’s Yoga for beginners from 5.15pm -6pm. The cost is £2.50 a session, or free to CHANGE Network card holders.
