Rain wipes out card

-

Rain was the winner at the weekend as all five West Lothian clubs were unable to complete their fixtures.

Linlithgow’s First XI were at least able to get their Division One clash at home to Edinburgh South started but only 16.2 overs could be bowled with the hosts sitting on 26-0 before play was stopped.

The contests involving Livingston First and Second XI, Fauldhouse Vics and Linlithgow Second XI were all cancelled without a ball being bowled.

They will be looking for brighter weather this weekend with all five set for league action.

Linlithgow travel to Edinburgh Accies hoping to break their duck having lost both matches that were able to produce results this term.

Linlithgow’s Second XI are also chasing their first win of the campaign and sit at the foot of the Division Three table but can get off the mark when they host Boroughmuir.

Fauldhouse have lost all three games this season in Division Two and host Largo hoping to end that run while Livingston go for glory away from home at SMRH Second XI.

It will be no easy task, though, as their opponents sit at the top of the table with a perfect record.

Livingston’s Second XI are West Lothian’s top performing team this year with two wins from their three games.

They host Musselburgh Second XI on Saturday.
