Angela is top for helping to find work
A West Lothian woman has been shortlisted for a national award for helping unemployed people return to work.
Angela Doran ( 39) of Livingston, has been shortlisted in the Adviser of the Year category at the fifth annual Employability Awards, run by the Employment Related Services Association.
Angela, who works as a personal consultant for employability, skills and offender rehabilitation provider Working Links, devotes her time to supporting and developing people as they look towards sustainable employment.
In the last year, she has already been recognised for her work, having been the organisation’s top performer. Although focusing on local customers, Angela’s work is experienced across the country, with her methods and experience being captured by Working Links and utilised in other delivery regions.
Her work has been turned into ser vice manuals to act as guides to help other consultants in their work and less experienced consultants across the country are encouraged to work alongside Angela to develop their skills.
Angela said: “I’m delighted to have been shortlisted for the Adviser of the Year award and to have the opportunity to represent Working Links.
