There are many areas that indicate the incompetence of the SNP, both in government in Scotland and representing Scotland at Westminster, and employment is one such area.
Whilst the rest of the UK has seen continued rises in employment, Scotland has suffered with the SNP and their one agenda focus losing sight of what is needed on a day to day basis to bring employment and prosperity across Scotland.
Indeed, whilst the latest unemployment figures in Scotland, for the first time, matched the figures for the rest of the UK, employment is still at a lower rate than the rest of the UK. Why is this? The only explanation is the incompetence of the SNP.
Scotland unemployment figures have dropped, but in West Lothian unemployment and youth unemployment have risen.
Questions need to be asked of those representing the area how has this been allowed to happen and what are they going to do to fix the situation before it gets even worse?
Further job losses have been announced in Livingston and the lack of response from the SNP is damning.
Given the location of Livingston and the road and rail networks that exist, Livingston should be the centre of business for Scotland and employment should be far higher than it is.
With the manifesto for Scotland that the Conservatives have produced I am confident that under a Conservative government and a local Conservative MP, the damage done by the SNP will be reversed and a stronger Scotland and a prosperous future will be enjoyed by all.
