Bradley marks return to Rose in style

-

Lochee United ...... 1 Linlithgow Rose ... 3

Mark Bradley got his second spell as Linlithgow Rose manager off to a fast start with a comfortable victory away at Lochee United.

Bradley returned to the post last week, having had a successful spell at the helm from 2011 to 2014, having had a short stint as boss at West Region side Kilbirnie Ladeside.

The two sides struggled to get going in a goalless first-half that lacked any real cutting edge in the attacking half from either time.

However, the Rose turned on the style by netting three times in a 15 minute spell after the hour mark.

Captain Colin Leiper got things going when he rattled the ball home from close range on 60 minutes.

Kevin Kelbie then proved his worth with a neat double in the 68th and 75th minutes that put the game to bed before Colin Deane fired home a late consolation for the hosts who ended their season in fifth place on their return to the top flight while the away side jumped into ninth spot after their third win in five games.

The Rose bring the curtain down on their challenging season this weekend when they make the trip to Perth to face Jeanfield Swifts after which the new boss will surely be looking to make moves to improve the team and get back to challenging for silverware next term.
