They want your views

Big Bathgate project bid

- Debbie Hall

Bathgate Community Council is reaching out to the people in the town to find out what they think of where they live.

They want to hear from people in Bathgate what they like about the town, what could make it better and what problems does it have.

To reach this end the Community Council is embarking on an ambitious new project and have launched The Big Bathgate Survey, where people can go online make their views known.

Chair Ronnie McLeod explained: “The Community Council wants to know what our community thinks about Bathgate in order to guide our deliberations and initiatives and so prioritise our actions for the community.”

“The aim is to get hundreds if not thousands of responses to the survey to get as accurate an outcome as possible that reflects the view of our community.

“Please log on and complete the survey which is completely anonymous and help us build an action plan for the community council which will benefit everyone in our town.”

The results will be published late summer and the community council will consider them at an open meeting in the autumn.

The Community Council is asking everyone to spread the word to friends and family and any local organisations so nobody misses out on the chance to have their say.

Ronnie continued: “We want everyone in Bathgate to have heard of this initiative and have an opportunity to take part.

“If anyone wants a paper copy because they don’t have access to a computer please contact our community council secretary on 07763662227.”
