Outlet’s funding boost for charity

More than 250 children in West Lothian will benefit from much needed care from Barnardo’s Scotland thanks to a £7,000 funding boost from generous shoppers.

Livingston Designer Outlet is donating the cash, bringing the total funding pot donated by customers at the outlet to a remarkable £18,000.

The outlet launched its charity partnershi­p with Barnardo’s Scotland in 2015 to support the charity’s drive to provide better quality care for Scottish youngsters most in need.

Customers at Livingston Designer Outlet have been encouraged to drop as little or as much as they can into the centre’s water feature and via a raft of fundraisin­g activities at the outlet.

The vital funds support Barnardo’s Scotland’s work with children living with disabiliti­es, assisting families who have children with profound learning disabiliti­es and high care needs.

Deborah Grossman, regional fundra i s i n g manager, said: “Our partnershi­p with Livingston Designer Outlet has continued to go from strength to strength and the most recent funding boost is testament to the great work we can achieve together.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to the customers at Livingston Designer Outlet for their continued support – the money really does have a huge impact on the lives of some of Scotland’s most disadvanta­ged children.”

“We know the donation of £18,000 will have a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children right on our doorstep.’’
