CHEERS

-

Angela Constance, MSP for Almond Valley, visited local, award-winning brewery, Alechemy Brewing to find out about how they produce their various beers and how they’re getting on in their new, larger premises.

Alechemy Brewing is a small, family-run business producing hand-crafted real ales, one of which was recently crowned‘Best in Britain 2017’by the Society of Independent Brewers.

With various beers being stocked by a variety of supermarket chains, including Waitrose and Asda, more production capacity has been created by moving to their new premises in Livingston.

Currently employing 11 people, the business is looking to expand and will be bringing bottling in-house which will create further local jobs.

Angela said:“What an interesting visit to Alechemy, where owner James Davies explained the different parts of the production process. It was great to talk to James about the vision for the business and so good to see a local, independent operation being so successful and providing quality jobs. Alechemy Brewing is going from strength to strength and I wish them all the best for the future.”
