Grace Harris Armadale Community Centre Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 28 June at 6.00pm. All Welcome Armadale Sons of Wallace will hold their next meeting in the Highlander Hotel on Sunday 2 July at 2pm. All members and anyone interested in joining the Sons of Wallace are welcome to come along.

Armadale Shed The Shed is thriving so come along as there is something for everyone. Check out their Facebook Armadalesh­ed.1 to see the range of activities. Everyone is most welcome.

Stop Smoking Support takes place in Armadale Community Centre on Wednesdays from 12 noon – 1pm. This is a free service. For further details contact 01506 651829.

Armadale Parish Church Sunday services are held at 11am. The Sunday School normally meet at this time also but are in recess over the summer holidays. Evening services have ceased for summer too but will resume again in September where everyone will be made most welcome. Do you shop online? Memory Cave Café The café takes place within Armadale Community Centre and Library for people with dementia and their carers and is supported by Alzheimer Scotland and run by volunteers from the Armadale community. The café takes place on the 3rd Friday of the month and is a place where carers and family members can drop in at any time between 10am – 12 noon. Carers or family members with someone they are caring for with dementia are always made most welcome. The cafe provides a place to meet where people understand dementia, gain peer support and informatio­n, and enjoy a good blether with a varied programme each month which includes games, music and crafts. Interchurc­h Fellowship Group The Churches of Armadale Fellowship Group meet in the Methodist Church on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. This is where people from all the Churches in Armadale are invited to meet together and all are welcome.

Armadale Flute Band The band are looking to recruit new members. They need members for the flute and drum corps and also standard bearers for the Colour Party. If you are interested come along to Coppies on Tuesday evenings between 7pm9pm or call John on 0774367209­2.

Blood Transfusio­n Unit will be visiting Armadale on Thursday 22 June. The unit will be situated in Armadale Community Centre, North Street from 2pm - 4pm and from 5.30pm – 7.30pm. All existing donors and any new donors will be warmly welcomed. Armadale Work Club weekly dropin club is available to jobseekers in Armadale Community Centre and Library. The aim of this club is to help local unemployed residents find a new job by providing resources and profession­al support in the local area. You will have the opportunit­y to share your experience­s and access support including producing CVs, completing applicatio­n forms, undertakin­g job search, learning interview techniques and you will have access to the most up to date vacancies. Network Junior Choir Following a very successful start they now have spaces available for Primary 4 to S4 boys and girls to sing, act, perform and raise money for charity and meet every Thursday in Armadale Parish Church Hall from 3.15pm4.30pm so why not come along and join this very lively choir. Services Led by Armadale Parish Church in the residentia­l establishm­ents have ceased for the summer but will begin again in September.

Armadale Shed After successful­ly completing the installati­on of the kissing gate on the Davie Kerr Heritage Walk, the Shed had an added bonus of a fruitful cash injection in the form of a stall at the Armadale Gala Day Fayre where our stall added a much needed boost for the running costs of the Shed. Thanks to all the organisers, donors and members of the public for their support

Armadale Bowling Club This year marks the Bowling Club’s 150th year and on Sunday 25 June at 10am an 150th anniversar­y rinks competitio­n will take place. All members are invited to attend and the club always welcomes new members. Winners of the Civic Pairs were J Gray, J Gibson. The function suite is available for private hire and informatio­n can be obtained from the club. Bingo for members and friends takes place on Wednesdays at 8pm and Saturdays at 7.30pm. The treasure chest draw also takes place on Saturdays and the Sunday Club’s number was drawn with the correct key being picked to open the chest. Next week’s prize money is £150.00. A Karaoke will take place on Sunday 2 July between 7pm-11pm with every singer taking part being entered into a prize draw. Armadale Thistle Sunday 18 June lottery draw numbers were 1, 6, 16, 17. The next fund raising event is a prize bingo in the Cavalier on 7 July. Entry is £1.00 with doors opening at 7.30pm and eyes down at 8pm.

Watson Bowling Club Wednesday 14 June hat winners:- D Vint, Helen Robertson. Winners of the Corrie Cup:- J Grant, J Spalding. Runners up: I Gordon, E Millar. The two bowl singles will take place on Saturday 24 June and names are required by 1pm on the day. On Sunday 25 June, the club are away to East Kilbride in a friendly and the bus leaves at 12.30pm prompt.
