Inglis posts PB in Potland Classic

The Steel family did Lothian Running Club proud at the Newburgh Highland Games over the weekend.

A photo-finish was required to determine that Hannah had edged out her sister Erin to the title in the youth 200m handicap race with younger brother Andrew being just pipped to third place.

In the United States, LRC member Sarah Inglis ran a personal best 5000m with a time of 15:41.29 to clinch fourth place in the Portland Classic in Oregon.

Six days later she ran again and placed third in a time of 15;42.47 at the Stumptown Twilight meeting.

On this side of the Atlantic, the Lothian Running Club was well represente­d in the Seven Hills of Edinburgh race.

The course comprised of a combinatio­n of road-running, cross-country, hill-running and urban orienteeri­ng and covers a distance of 14.3 miles.

The seriously fit entered“The Race”with the others taking on “The Challenge”, which started off half an hour in advance.

Euan McInnes was first home of the 13 LRC runners in 2:14.16.
