Can you offer a home to friendly Charlie?

-

Cat-lovers are being urged to offer a new home to a nervous moggy.

Charlie, is a healthy five-year-old boy who sadly was in a house fire two years ago and was rehomed with another family.

He took a long time to settle in, and was slowly introduced to the flat one room at a time. now he runs to the door when his owner gets home, and wants to be in the same room with them no matter what. He is unsure meeting new people and would benefit from a quieter house with lots of cuddles. Charlie likes to sleep pushed up next to you at night, and will wait by the bathroom door if you go for a shower. He loves sunbathing and he would love a garden where he could explore without going too far.

animal welfare experts say he loves playing with string and feathers and will chase after a ball back and forth. He has been taught basic tricks of sit, paw, spin, jump and lie down. He is also a bit of a lap cat, and will even jump onto strangers laps and curl up when he’s ready.

a Cats protection spokesperson said:“He is very relaxed when he’s settled into somewhere new but it does take him time, and he is fine with people but a group of new loud people will make him hide under the covers or bed. He’s a fantastic little cat and he will make an incredible best friend to someone.

“If you feel you could give this friendly boy a forever home please contact us on 01506 298107 or use the ‘Contact us’form on the branch website www.cats.org.uk/ west-lothian and a home visit can easily be arranged.”
