History group meet

Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses following a break- in at a house in Livingston on Tuesday August 22.

The incident took place around 3pm on Farm Place in the Eliburn area when entry into the house was forced at the rear of the property.

Officers are looking for three suspects who are all described as white men, around 5feet 10inches tall, of medium build, wearing dark-coloured baseball caps.

They were also all wearing dark hooded tops, with one also wearing a light blue jacket over this.

They were last seen on Appleton Parkway, heading towards Mill Roundabout and Cousland Road.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen these men in the area, who may have captured them on private CCTV or dashcam footage, or who recognises their descriptio­ns to come forward as soon as possible.

Anyone with informatio­n is asked to contact Bathgate’s Community Investigat­ion Unit via 101, quoting incident number 2193 of 22 August, or report this anonymousl­y to Crimestopp­ers on 0800 555 111. The first meeting of Bathgate History Group’s new session will be on Wednesday (September 6) at the Tryst, behind St John’s Church, Mid Street, at 2pm.

The group meets every Wednesday and has an interestin­g programme with a variety of speakers. A warm welcome awaits both old and new members.
