Training restaurant serves up awards win
College wins title
The Terrace Restaurant at West Lothian College has served up success at a top awards ceremony.
It scooped the Restaurant of the Year trophy for the South East region at the Food Awards Scotland. This is the second time in three years that the Livingston college’s training restaurant has won the top award, and the third consecutive year it has been nominated.
It won both the Restaurant of the Year in Scotland and Best Restaurant in the South East region of Scotland in 2015, and The Terrace has been the toprated restaurant in Livingston and West Lothian on review website TripAdvisor for a number of years. The Terrace Restaurant is situated within West Lothian College’s Livingston campus and is open to the public for lunches and dinners during term time.
Margaret Forisky, West Lothian College’s head of hospitality and communities said: “We are delighted that The Terrace has clinched the Restaurant of the Year award for the South East region for the second time. The success of The Terrace is down to hard work from both students and college staff, so I’d like to thank everyone for their efforts to achieve this top award. The Terrace Restaurant aims to help the next generation of hospitality and professional cookery students hone their skills for a successful career in the industry.
