Medals galore for swimmers

Not to be outdone by the younger swimmers at the club, Swim-IT’s older members shone at the Inverclyde Masters Meet recently.

Fraser McKane took home gold for the first overall male in the 19-24 age category as well as grabbing five golds and three silvers.

Team-mate Brian Dollachan came second overall in the 25-29 age group after fine performanc­es.

He also grabbed five gold medals as well as a silver in the 50m butterfly.

The club grabbed a one-two in the 19-24 female age category with Rachel Donald finishing narrowly ahead of Fiona Donald.

Rachel sealed an incredible six gold medals, winning in the 50m fly, 50m free, 50m back, 50m breast, 100m free and 100m fly. Fiona also was in fine form as she won two gold medals along with six silvers while the team won the 4x50IM relay event.
