Medals ga­lore for swim­mers

Not to be out­done by the younger swim­mers at the club, Swim-IT’s older mem­bers shone at the In­ver­clyde Mas­ters Meet re­cently.

Fraser McKane took home gold for the first over­all male in the 19-24 age cat­e­gory as well as grab­bing five golds and three sil­vers.

Team-mate Brian Dol­lachan came sec­ond over­all in the 25-29 age group after fine per­for­mances.

He also grabbed five gold medals as well as a sil­ver in the 50m but­ter­fly.

The club grabbed a one-two in the 19-24 fe­male age cat­e­gory with Rachel Don­ald fin­ish­ing nar­rowly ahead of Fiona Don­ald.

Rachel sealed an in­cred­i­ble six gold medals, win­ning in the 50m fly, 50m free, 50m back, 50m breast, 100m free and 100m fly. Fiona also was in fine form as she won two gold medals along with six sil­vers while the team won the 4x50IM re­lay event.
