West Lothian Courier

A team packed with desire

-

It really is a privilege watching this team continuously fight for results and play for the fans.

It’s not often you see players truly have a connection with the fans but we are lucky enough to have players who want to play for this club and want to be successful at this club and it’s showing in the way each and every one of them is playing.

It was another trip along the M9 to take on Falkirk, a side struggling but nonetheless a dangerous opponent.

The game capped off a busy week on the road, having travelled north to Inverness the previous weekend and Hibernian midweek.

It wasn’t a brilliant spectacle but I don’t think you’ll hear anyone from Livi –players, fans or management -– be complaining about that.

It was another away victory which means it’s the first time we’ve won three consecutive second tier league games away from home since 2012 and sends us up into the top four.

Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves though. It’s a long, hard season and we are only seven games into it and I’m sure we will have a sticky patch during the course of the campaign.

The result sends us into our home game with Dumbarton in good form but we all know the dangers they possess and can’t be taken lightly.

We have only defeated the Sons once at home in the last six meetings so I’m sure Hoppy and the players know what kind of game we are going to face.

It’s important that the players and the fans remain patient and if we all pull in the one direction, we should be confident of getting a positive result on Saturday.

This team deserves your backing so if you can make it down to the Tony Macaroni Arena, I urge you to do so.

This has the makings of being a special season for the club – and if you aren’t part of it already then it’s time for you come along.

Come on Livi!
