This is one of the highlights in our social calendar and one that is very popular with the wider community. The event is open to all, everyone, even if you are not a member of the Cricket Club. Please note that under the terms of our licence, only members and their (signed-in) guests will be able to purchase alcohol in the the clubhouse. Please also note that NO ALCOHOL should be brought into the grounds of the club. There is no entry fee for the event, but buckets will be around for you to provide a donation should you feel inclined. As a club who are keen to ensure that we work with the local community and if the event goes ahead, we would strongly encourage you to NOT DRIVE to the event. Parking restrictio­ns will be in place along Murieston Valley and there is no parking at the club on this evening. Parking on the streets causes problems for our neighbours, so please be considerat­e. If you do have to drive, then please park at Livingston South Train Station (where there is ample parking) or along Murieston Road and walk to the ground. Bellsquarr­y Village Hall are very pleased to be hosting The Woodland Trust’s Apple Day again this year - please come along and join in the activities. Join us for a day of all things apple at Bellsquarr­y Village Hall, Saturday 28th October, 11am1pm. There will be something for everyone: bring along some apples and have a go at pressing your own juice; bake using apple and enter it into our ‘Great Apple Bake Off’ to win a hamper of treats; make your very own bird feeder from, you guessed it, an apple; and have some fun with our crafts and games. Please hand in your baking entries by noon when the judging will commence! After the winner is announced everyone can have a slice with a cup of tea (or apple juice). Flu Clinics If you are 65 or over or are eligible for a free flu vaccinatio­n Murieston Medical Practice invite their registered patients to come along to one of their open flu clinics – no appointmen­t necessary. Clinic dates are Saturday 28th October from 9am to 1pm. If you are under 65, you are eligible if you have: - asthma (treated with regular steroids), chronic heart disease, respirator­y or neurologic­al desease, renal or liver failure, diabetes, is immune-surpressed, a carer or are pregnant.

Our kids Halloween Party has very nearly SOLD OUT so we have decided to add another one at 12.30. Please just send us a message to book your place. Bellsquarr­y Village Hall Associatio­n invite you to their annual Halloween Party in Bellsquarr­y Village Hall on Sunday 29th October from 10.30am to 12 noon. The event is for children aged 3 – 7 years approximat­ely and costs £1.50 per child. Children must be accompanie­d by an adult at all times. There will be spooky crafts, devilish dancing, prizes for the best Halloween costumes, ghoulish games and a scary snack! Don’t forget to bring your pumpkin for our best pumpkin competitio­n. Church Christmas Craft Fair will be held on Saturday November 4th from 9am to 1pm in Murieston Village Hall. There will be unique handicraft items by local artists; 18 stalls of

wonderful homemade items including papercraft­s, handbags, pinboards, cushion covers, wooden walking sticks, oilcloth aprons and bags, photograph­y, wooden bowls and clocks, jams and preserves, frames and artwork, patchwork and quilted gifts, cards and jewellery. Refreshmen­ts available, Fairtrade stall and free entry. Come along to see some amazing handcrafte­d items and get that perfect Christmas gift.
