Bridge 19-40 Union Canal So­ci­ety - We have just launched ticket sales for this year’s Santa boat trips from Port Buchan, Brox­burn on De­cem­ber 2 & 3 and De­cem­ber 16 & 17. There will be 4 trips on each of the 4 days,

at 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm each day. All trips are pre-book­able only, through the eventbrite on­line book­ing site (link be­low) at £10 per per­son. New Autism Group we are a group of par­ents/car­ers who meet be­tween 9am and 11.45am Fri­day morn­ings in Grace Com­mu­nity Church 39 Greendykes Road, Brox­burn (sorry cur­rently there is no wheel­chair ac­cess). This is an op­por­tu­nity to meet with other adults – and their chil­dren who are ei­ther not yet at school or cur­rently out of school liv­ing with Autism. This group re­ally en­cour­ages each other by shar­ing ex­pe­ri­ences re­sources and truths that help us get through the day, or sim­ply just hav­ing com­pany and lis­ten­ing. We have a mix­ture of boys and girls on the Autis­tic Spec­trum. We share a cof­fee and a chat in a safe en­vi­ron­ment with oth­ers who have trav­elled a sim­i­lar path re­sult­ing in a life chang­ing jour­ney. Pop in and say Hi and share a cuppa and we will tell you more. Brox­burn Girls’ Brigade meet in Brox­burn Par­ish church halls in Brox­burn Main street (op­po­site the swim­ming pool). Just a lit­tle re­minder that we start back to­mor­row (Fri­day, Septem­ber 1) as nor­mal rather than hav­ing an en­rol­ment night. The group then meet ev­ery sec­ond Tues­day. This cancer sup­port group is open to in­di­vid­u­als touched by any type of cancer. The group has been formed to give par­ents, sur­vivors and care­givers the sup­port and strength to move for­ward to­gether. Re­fresh­ments will be pro­vided. Bowl­ing club Ka­tri­ona Boyle won the 1st prize in the trea­sure chest but un­for­tu­nately se­lected the wrong key to open the pad­lock. This Satur­day the jack­pot will be £675 with 2 keys to choose from. Stu­art Colquhoun will be the en­ter­tain­ers for mem­bers and their guests in the lounge on Satur­day night from 9pm. The tote dou­ble num­bers were and 37 with no win­ner. In the pop­u­lar Sun­day af­ter­noon domino com­pe­ti­tion at 2pm Eric Turner beat Wil­lie Den­ni­son in the fi­nal. The func­tion suite is avail­able to mem­bers to hire for their pri­vate par­ties by con­tact­ing the club. Ap­pli­ca­tions for new mem­ber­ships are cur­rently be­ing ac­cepted.
