Broxburn Gala are Holding a Christmas Disco on Saturday, December 9 for all Primary school children in the old library. 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Bridge 19-40 Union Canal Society - We have just launched ticket sales for this year’s Santa boat trips from Port Buchan, Broxburn on December 2 & 3 and December 16 & 17. There will be 4 trips on each of the 4 days,

at 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm each day. All trips are pre-bookable only, through the eventbrite online booking site (link below) at £10 per person. We are registered charity and are all volunteers. New Autism Group we are a group of parents/carers who meet between 9am and 11.45am Friday mornings in Grace Community Church 39 Greendykes Road, Broxburn (sorry currently there is no wheelchair access). This is an opportunit­y to meet with other adults – and their children who are either not yet at school or currently out of school living with Autism. This group really encourages each other by sharing experience­s resources and truths that help us get through the day, or simply just having company and listening. We have a mixture of boys and girls on the Autistic Spectrum. We share a coffee and a chat in a safe environmen­t with others who have travelled a similar path resulting in a life changing journey. Pop in and say Hi and share a cuppa and we will tell you more. Broxburn Girls’ Brigade meet in Broxburn Parish church halls in Broxburn Main street (opposite the swimming pool). Just a little reminder that we start back tomorrow (Friday, September 1) as normal rather than having an enrolment night. The group then meet every second Tuesday. This cancer support group is open to individual­s touched by any type of cancer. Bowling club Katriona Boyle won the 1st prize in the treasure chest but unfortunat­ely selected the wrong key to open the padlock. This Saturday the jackpot will be £675 with 2 keys to choose from. Stuart Colquhoun will be the entertaine­rs for members and their guests in the lounge on Saturday night from 9pm. The tote double numbers were and 37 with no winner. In the popular Sunday afternoon domino competitio­n at 2pm Eric Turner beat Willie Dennison in the final. The function suite is available to members to hire for their private parties by contacting the club. Applicatio­ns for new membership­s are currently being accepted. Our next monthly quiz followed by a karaoke will be in the lounge this Friday 10th November. The annual presentati­on of prizes will take place on Friday 24th November
