Bruce­field Church £562 at the Bring and Buy on Sun­day at Bruce­field House which has been topped up to £600 by an ad­di­tional do­na­tion. Anne would like to thank ev­ery­one who came and helped and made the day the huge suc­cess it was!!

Alzheimer Scot­land are look­ing for vol­un­teers to help at our Day Club that runs out from Whit­burn. The day club is an ac­tive club and is for peo­ple with early on­set de­men­tia. Some of the ac­tiv­i­ties in­volve go­ing bowl­ing, walks in the coun­try parks, barge trips and vis­its to other at­trac­tions. This is an en­joy­able and fun vol­un­teer­ing role and the vol­un­teers will be well sup­ported by the char­ity and given train­ing for this role. Whit­burn Armistice Pa­rade Group This year’s Re­mem­brance Pa­rade & Ser­vice will take place on Sun­day 12th Novem­ber 2017. Any per­sons or Or­gan­i­sa­tions (young or older) wish­ing to at­tend the An­nual Re­mem­brance Pa­rade please feel free to do so. The Pa­rade will muster around 10.15am be­hind Whit­burn Burgh Hall car park. The pa­rade will then leave at 10.30am prompt and march up to the War Memo­rial where there will be a short ser­vice and the lay­ing of Wreaths. There will then be a ser­vice in the Whit­burn South Par­ish Church led by the Rev Dr An­gus Kerr and a re­turn pa­rade back to the Burgh Halls. There will be hot snacks & re­fresh­ments pro­vided in the Ma­sonic Hall fol­low­ing event. A mini bus is pro­vided to take part in the pa­rade for any per­son with walk­ing dif­fi­cul­ties. Liv­ing Well Com­mu­nity Cafe at the cen­tre- Pop along to the Liv­ing­well Com­mu­nity Outreach Cafe in Whit­burn Com­mu­nity Ed­u­ca­tion Cen­tre on the first Thurs­day of each month 10am - 2pm. There will also be other agen­cies there to talk to in­clud­ing: The Ad­vice Shop, So­cial Work Ad­dic­tions Team and WLDAS.

Whit­burn Games Club We are a games club sit­u­ated in Whit­burn, West Loth­ian. We play games rang­ing from card based strat­egy, boxed board games, turn based strat­egy & RPG. The club is on ev­ery Satur­day from 7pm to mid­night (later if nec­es­sary) The club is now com­pletely free for ev­ery­one so come along.
