Festive show fun at Howden Park
Panto and concert bring seasonal cheer
‘Beauty and the Beast’ is this year’s pantomime from Howden Park Centre in Livingston is once again packed full of songs, jokes and winter fun for all the family.
Long, long ago, in a large ominous looking castle in West Lothian, a selfie-stick obsessed and arrogant prince called Sebastian was cursed to live for all eternity as a beast for refusing to marry the evil, yet exceedingly glamorous witch, Veronica Venomossima.
He has to find love before the final petal falls from the enchanted rose or he and his manservant, Alfred Sidekick, will remain in limbo for eternity.
The spell can only be broken if Sebastian finds someone who can love him for who he really is. The show is written and directed by Martin McCormick.
The show will be staged on Tuesday, December 12, at 10am and 1pm; Wednesday, December 13, 10am and 1pm; Thursday, December 14, 10am and 1pm; Friday, December 15, 10am and 7pm; Saturday, December 16, 2pm and 7pm; Tuesday, December 19, 10am and 1pm; Wednesday, December 20, 1pm and 7pm (sales performance); Thursday, December 21, 1pm and 7pm; Friday, December 22, 2pm (sales performance) and 7pm; Saturday, December 23, 2pm and 7pm; Sunday, December 24, 10am and 2pm and 6pm; Wednesday, December 27, 2pm and Thursday, December 28, 2pm.
Tickets are £15.50 for adults, £13.50 for children, £54 family of four, buy 10 get one free, £11.50 sales performance and £7.50 schools.
Festive Brass with Whitburn Band will take place on Saturday, December 16. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the festive season, for an evening of light-hearted Christmas music from one of Europe’s premier brass bands.
Join the Scottish National, Scottish Open and Grand Shield winners for a relaxed evening of classic and current Christmas favourites, giving a traditional concert in an intimate setting.
