Taking the plunge
It was a knockout at Bathgate Swimming Pool with some wet and wild games going on for National Youth Week.
Making a splash were teams from Boghall, Torphichen, Windyknowe and Bathgate youth clubs with a team from Bathgate Senior Youth club also joining in with the fun.
Rafts and dinosaurs were just two of the obstacles challenging the teams on the night with Windyknowe taking top spot and being handed the winners’shield by Councillor Alistair Mackie.
Games organiser John Lockhart said:“It was a fantastic competition, and a great time was had by all.”
Our picture, which was featured in the November 6, 1997 edition of the Courier shows the delighted Windyknowe team celebrating their victory.
