Two points separate five clubs

-

Results elsewhere on Saturday mean that the top five teams in the Championship are separated by just two points while Brechin City are still searching for their first victory.

There were 11 yellow cards and two red cards issued in a feisty affair at Falkirk Stadium as the Bairns drew 1-1 in their derby clash with Dunfermline Athletic.

Kallum Higginbotham gave the Pars a 28th-minute lead from the spot before he was later dismissed for two yellows in the early stages of the second half.

Jordan McGhee fired home the leveller on 64 minutes before Dunfermline were reduced to nine men following Declan McManus being shown his second yellow in injury-time.

Dundee United defeated St Mirren 2-1 at Tannadice with the teams now joint top on 23 points. Mark Durnan and Sam Stanton found the net for the hosts with Adam Eckersley grabbing a consolation in injury-time for St Mirren.

Scott Dobbie and Callum Fordyce scored as Queen of the South grabbed a 2-1 away win at Morton while a Willie Dyer own goal in the 90th minute saw Brechin City suffer a 1-0 home defeat to Dumbarton.
