Between 5.15am and 5.40am on Saturday (november 4) two men arrived at the day to day premises on Main street, Stoneyburn and forced entry through a front door.

The suspects arrived in a dark coloured estate car, driven by another person, which was parked within Knowepark Road, Stoneyburn, during the theft.

Once inside the premises, the suspects stole a large quantity of cigarettes to the value of approximately £12,000.

The first suspect is described as a white male, aged 30 to 40 years old, of slim build, wearing a blue jacket, dark hoodie, faded dark jeans and trainers.

“We are eager to trace those responsible and ask that anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or anyone who has seen anyone matching the descriptions of the suspects, to contact police immediately.”
