Armadale Bowling Club The function suite is available for private hire and informatio­n can be obtained from the club. Bingo for members and friends takes place on Wednesdays at 8pm and Saturdays at 7.30pm. The treasure chest draw also takes

place on Saturdays and Norah’s number was drawn but the correct key was not picked. Prize money next week £200.00. A Karaoke will take place on Sunday 19 November between 7pm-11pm with every singer taking part being entered into a prize draw.

Coffee Morning Armadale Methodist Church are holding a coffee morning and table top sale on Saturday 18 November from 10am – 1pm. There will also be a display of Advent paintings, painted by Stirling Methodist Church. Entry £1.50 includes tea and biscuits. All welcome.

Armadale Thistle Play at away to Craig Royston on Saturday in a league game with the kick off at 2.00pm and the bus leaving from Armadale Swimming baths at 11.30am. A fund raising race night will take place on Saturday 18 November in the Corrie Bar at 7.30pm. Sunday 5 November lottery draw numbers were 7, 12, 15, 16. Methodist Church on Sunday 12 November Rev. Dr Mark Jason will be preaching at the morning service. Please note as this is Remembranc­e Sunday the morning service will begin at the later time of 11.30am. All welcome. Services Led by Armadale Parish Church will take place in the following:- Bield Housing – Sunday 12 November at 2.30pm. Toll Gate House- Wednesday 15 November at 10.30am. 1st Armadale Girls’ Brigade Session activities are held on Tuesdays with Explorers (P1-P3) meeting from 6pm-7.15pm. Juniors (P4-P7), 7pm8.30pm. Brigaders (S1-S6) 7.45pm9.15pm. All new and existing brigaders will be warmly welcomed.

Knit and Natter Knit for charity in Armadale Methodist Church Hall every second Tuesday afternoon from 2pm – 4pm. The new knit and natter next meet on Tuesday 14 November and will then meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Even if you don’t knit why not come along and enjoy a cuppa and a chat. Everyone will be made most welcome.

Boys’ Brigade The Brigade meet on a Thursday evening in Armadale Parish Church hall and it would be great to see existing brigaders and any boys who would be interested in joining the Brigade. The Anchors for (P2-P3’s) meet from 5.45pm-6.45pm and the Junior Section for (P4/P5/ P6’s) meet from 6.45pm-8.15pm. Come along and enrol and meet new friends and have fun.

Armadale Shed is now open three days a week - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-4pm. Monday morning is reserved for quiet work, ie the teaching of weaving on hand looms and a bit of handcraft assembling or painting. Wednesday is primarily a wood turning day with our resident expert Robert monitoring on our three lathes. Always open to suggestion and a cup of tea or coffee is always available. Smoke Free Lothian Stop Smoking Support takes place in Armadale Community Centre on Wednesdays from 12 noon – 1pm. This is a free service. For further details contact 01506 651829.

WRI meet in Colinsheil Housing with Care at 7pm on the second Monday of each month. Please note they will not have their regular meeting on 13 November as they will be attending their yearly Rally on 16 November. All existing and new members will be warmly welcomed. Armadale Community Council Meet in Armadale Community Centre at 7pm on the second Thursday of the month. Mini Kickers takes place in Armadale Community Centre on a Friday from 3.30pm-4.30pm. Mini Kickers are basic introducto­ry football sessions for 3-5 year olds. Cost is £3.50 per week and participan­ts can just turn up to pay and play on the day. Credit Union situated in Armadale Community Centre on Wednesday’s from 9.15am – 10.00 am and will continue to be in the Community Centre on a weekly basis. Posters are on display in Armadale Community Centre promoting what they have to offer to customers. The Credit Union are also in attendance at The Dale Hub on Wednesdays from 10am – 11am.

Armadale Parish Church Sunday morning services are held at 11am and also Sunday School. Evening services take place on the first Sunday of each month at 6.30pm. On Remembranc­e Sunday a short service will begin at the earlier time of 10.50am to allow anyone who is unable to go to the War Memorial to join in the minutes silence at 11am. The main service will begin at 11.30am when the parade will return from the War Memorial and all will be welcome to attend the service. Prayers for Help and Healing take place following the morning service. The craft group meet every Thursday afternoon from 2pm – 4pm in the Church hall. A warm welcome is extended to everyone to all our services and groups.

Memory Cave Café The café takes place within Armadale Community Centre and Library for people with dementia and their carers and is supported by Alzheimer Scotland and run by volunteers from the Armadale community and takes place on the 3rd Friday of the month and is a place where carers and family members can drop in at any time between 10am – 12 noon. The cafe provides a place to meet where people understand dementia, gain peer support and informatio­n, and enjoy a good blether with a varied programme each month which includes games, quizzes music and crafts. Carers or family members with someone they are caring for with dementia are always made most welcome.

Interchurc­h Fellowship Group – The Churches of Armadale Fellowship Group meet in the Methodist Church on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. This is where people from all the Churches in Armadale are invited to meet together and all are welcome.

Concert By the Bo’ness Belles will take place Armadale Parish Church on Sunday 19th November and has been organised by the fund raising committee. The Bo’ness Bells are a group of ladies who sing at various venues for Charity and all the proceeds of a concert goes to their chosen charity. All welcome. A Christmas Fayre will also take place in the Church Hall on Saturday 2nd December. Come along and join us at any of these fund raising events. You will be warmly welcomed.

Guild Armadale Parish Church Guild next meet on Monday 13 November in the Church hall from 2pm-4pm.

Network Juniors Choir The choir has spaces for Primary 4 to S4 boys and girls to sing, act, perform and raise money for charity and meet every Thursday in Armadale Parish Church Hall from 3.15pm-4.30pm so why not come along and join this very lively choir.
