Get ready to welcome in the New Year in style at Howden Park Centre in Livingston.

The popular venue is hosting two ceilidh nights featuring some great entertainm­ent on December 30 and on Hogmanay. Come and dance the night away on December 30 with The Gallivante­rs traditiona­l ceilidh band. Whether you’re an experience­d reeler or a complete novice, the band will play a wide variety of music to get you twirling and reeling, with a caller to lead you through the dances. There is also a short quiz during the interval and a supper. Put on your dancing shoes and come gallivanti­ng with the Gallivante­rs on December 30 from 7pm. Tickets are £21.50

The Gallivante­rs will be back to celebrate the New Year in style with a night to truly remember, with traditiona­l dance, food and song.

Live music will be performed by the highly experience­d ceilidh band on Hogmanay.

Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, traditiona­l (or vegetarian) haggis, neeps and tatties at 9.30pm and sparkling wine at midnight.

The band will play until 12.30am and there will also be a short fun quiz.

This evening kicks off at 7.30pm for 8pm and the fun and dancing will go on until 12.30am. Tickets for this evening are £37.50. The Gallivater­s are a five piece Ceilidh Band based in Perthshire comprising both accordion, double bass, fiddle, guitar, mandolin and whistles. The combinatio­n of instrument­s gives a bright and vibrant yet traditiona­l sound.
