When the caring role ends, the ex-carer faces financial and emotional isolation. The group aims to reduce isolation, increase confidence and also help those who are of working age attain employabil­ity skills. There will be free organised weekly meetings/sessions covering a range of topics chosen by the attendees. There will also be the opportunit­y to access digital inclusion using a tablet to keep in touch with family and friends, learn how to do this safely and gain confidence and skills in using the internet; the opportunit­y to access employabil­ity support held in a group or individual­ly. To assist with the financial burdens there will be welfare and benefit advice and also budgeting classes and sessions. For Community centre events, please, check at the Community Centre. Pitstop is open Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm. The cafe is open 9.15am - 2.30pm- last orders 2.15pm. It is open on Saturday from 10.00am - 4.00pm with the cafe is open from 10.30am - 1.30pm - last orders 1.15pm; bingo on at Loganlea Miners’ every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.00pm; Advice Sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 10.00 -12.00. with West Lothian Financial Inclusion Network.The ladies group on Tuesdays from 2.00pm - 4.00pm and the Credit Union from 5.45pm - 6.45pm; Access to employment on Wednesdays from 2.00pm - 4.00pm and Job Club on Thursday mornings from 10.00am - 12 noon; Also on Thursday mornings is the mothers and toddlers/babies from 9.00am - 10.30am which costs £2 and includes a healthy snack.
