Buddies aim to rebound after defeat

-

St Mirren will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend - and they will be considered haevy favourites to get the better of Brechin City at Glebe Park in a packed Championship card on Saturday afternoon.

The top six teams are separated by just seven points entering the weekend so there’s likely to be lots of movement in the table.

Current top dogs Dundee United face a challenging away trip against Morton with the Greenock side looking to jump into the play-off places with a win.

Jim Duffy’s men are one of three teams tied on 23 points and the other two face-off against each other at East End Park as Dunfermline Athletic take on Queen of the South.

Both teams are desperate for a win to turn around faltering form as the Pars have no win in their last five games while it’s three games without a win for Gary Naysmith’s Doonhamers side.

Falkirk are the Championship’s major disappointment this term as they head into the weekend with a solitary win to their name.

They will be aiming for their first away win of the campaign as they travel to a revitalised Inverness Caledonian Thistle side.

Having struggled out of the gates, Caley have lost just once in their last eight league fixtures and have kept a remarkable seven clean sheets during that run.

They would jump into seventh spot if they were able to get a better result than Dumbarton, who host Livingston.
