There’s no place for diving

-

As a football fan it’s frustrating when a game gets postponed .

A Saturday afternoon with no game to look forward to it all week is a horrible feeling – but sadly our game against Falkirk last weekend didn’t beat the cold snap.

The club came in for some criticism for the lateness of the call, and while I sympathise with fans who have to travel, I was glad to see the club gave it as long as possible to try to get the game on.

There is still plenty to get my teeth into this week. There is never a dull moment in Scottish football is there ?

Refereeing has been at the centre of much debate this week, from diving to red cards and even the odd player rugby tackling management.

Diving is something I absolutely can’t stand and referees have a hard enough job as it is without players trying to con there way to success.

I watched the League Cup final last weekend as a neutral, and to see a player of the calibre of Scott Sinclair throwing himself to the ground under minimal contact was infuriating. Just call it what it is – cheating, and it needs to be stamped out.

Back to Livingston and it’s another big game this weekend away to Dumbarton at the Your Radio 103FM Stadium, and to think people have a go at Livi for their stadium name.

The Sons are in form with the hosts now six games unbeaten and this will be a tough game.

We will need to be at our very best to get a positive result, but we go into the game with confidence ourselves.

Let’s get right behind the Lions just as we have done down at Dumfries and in Paisley and get the result.
