Can we start to dream?

-

Is it time to start dreaming beyond staying in the Championship now?

From the moment a ball was kicked this season the aim was to finish eighth, and with the season now beyond the halfway mark, we find ourselves in third and sitting a single point behind Dundee United in second.

Our February fixtures will go a long way to telling us if a play-off spot is a dream or reality with games against Dunfermline, St Mirren, Dundee United and Morton in the weeks ahead.

If we can come out of this month and remain in the top four, then the race will well and truly be on.

Last weekend we travelled to Falkirk for the third time this term and looking to remain unbeaten there this season and gain revenge for our cup exit at home just the week before.

It was one of the performances of the season from a side that continues to defy the odds. For 70 minutes we controlled the game with ease and the 3-0 scoreline at that stage flattered the home side.

A consolation for Falkirk didn’t take any shine of what was a tremendous performance and a major confidence boosting result.

Next up is a home tie on Saturday against Dunfermline. They are a side we have failed to beat this season so we know it will be a tough afternoon and in truth arguably our worst performance of the season came at their place. We will be desperate to put that right.
