Our next meeting is on March 14 when the activity will be “Little Bird in a Tree” a hands on sewing session with Ruth & Frances, kit supplied. New members always welcome, come along as a visitor and see what you think. The cost includes a refreshment. “Pins & Needles” knitting and sewing (BYO) meets on Mondays from 10.30am – 12., cost £1.50. “The Lunch Club” with a 3 course meal plus activities meets on Tuesdays from 12-3pm, cost £5 for lunch and afternoon refreshment. “Singing for Health” meets on Wednesdays from 10.30am-12, cost £1.20. “Indoor Bowls” meets on a Wednesday from 1pm-2.30pm, cost £1.50. “Craft Group” meets on Thursdays from 10.30am-12, cost £1.50. “Mix n Match Indoor Games” (pool, darts, boules etc) meets on Thursdays from 2pm-3pm, cost £1.50 and the “Mens Group” meets on Fridays from 10.30am-12.30pm, cost £2 which includes refreshment and light lunch. Craigshill Community Council meets on the 2nd Wednesday in the month, except January and July at
7.15pm at the Almondbank Centre. The office-bearers are Ian Buchanan (Chair), Wilma Pincott (Vice Chair), Rose McAulay (Secretary), David Gilmour (Treasurer) and Craig Hume (Planning Secretary). Families Based at the Citizens Advice Bureau Almond bank Craigshill Livingston we are the Prevention Intervention Money Advice Project team (PIMAP) we offer free, independent and impartial advice to pregnant mothers and young families on a wide range of issues such as money problems, benefit entitlements, maternity pay, housing issues, legal issues etc. We want to help maximise your income by providing advice and help using tailored information services to suit your needs and circumstances. We work in close partnership with West Lothian Women’s Aid to provide a tailored money advice service to individuals, both male and female, who have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse. We can offer assistance with housing options, debt and money advice, budgeting, Legal and family issues, social security benefit/appeal. Young Peoples Drop in Centre Every Monday night from 6-8pm all young people aged between 12-18 who are interested in having somewhere to go they can hang out can come along to Riverside Youth Wing. Access2Employment is based in Almondbank Centre supporting the individual so that they are equipped with employability skills that meet the needs of employers, recognising that one size does not fit all. A dvisers help people to develop confidence, compile or advise on preparing CVs, provide interview guidance, assist with the completion of application forms and provide overall employability support.
