Cabaret nights will be held in the Club House on Saturdays 31st March and 28th April. Mid Calder Gala football team is looking for a sponsor . The team is made up of Mid Calder Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils and takes part in inter school Gala matches including our very own Jak Trueman Inter School Challenge Cup which is played at Mid Calder Gala Park during our gala week . Mid Calder Gala Committee are holding a fundraisin­g night on Saturday 10th March from 7pm until midnight in the Masonic Hall, Mid Calder. Ladies, travel back in time to the glamorous Roaring 20’s. Dress in your 1920’s finest, be a fabulous flapper or a gangster. The choice is yours! The Gatsby Extravagan­za is an evening of themed music, food, games and prizes. On arrival, you will be served a glass of prosecco by Scotland’s hottest buff butler who will also pose with you for photograph­s. A night not to be missed!! Meetings are normally held on the 2nd Thursday of the month. All residents of Mid Calder welcome . Kirk of Calder Sunday School, Sunday Stars and the Mini Kirks meet in the Glenalmond Hall on Sundays from 10.30am till 11.30am. We usually meet in the church to start with, then go down to the hall for songs, games, stories and fun. Either come along or make contact through the Kirk’s Facebook page if you would like to enrol your child; we would be delighted to see children from 3 years upwards. Come and join our happy family.

Mid Calder Toddler Group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 11am in the Institute Hall, Market Street, Mid Calder If any parent/ carer has a ‘hidden talent’ you wish to share with the babies/toddlers please speak to a committee member at Toddlers or contact us through our Facebook page. It could be crafts or singing/dancing - don’t be shy - we need your help.

Yoga Classes are held in the Masonic Hall on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 - 9pm. These are informal classes and all levels welcome. Call Linda on 01506 884115 or 07742 063080 for more informatio­n.

Fairtrade Cafe welcomes anyone who would like to join us on a Tuesday morning between 10am and 12 noon in the Glenalmond Hall where home baking is on sale and all funds raised go to street children of Peru c/o the Vine Trust. Come along and help us to promote fair trade and make new friends. The Fair Trade café is run by the Kirk of Calder.

A clothing bank is situated to the front of the Glenalmond Hall. Please bring any good quality clean clothes, belts, paired shoes, ties, handbags (in a bag) and place in the recycling bank. Liv’n Harmony Singers is an adult choir with a difference. Meets on a Thursday evening 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the Black Bull, Mid Calder where the emphasis is on fun and laughter as much as singing. Liv’n Harmoneez Kids and Teen

Choir is an exciting choir which meets on Thursday nights in The Black Bull Function Suite, Mid Calder. Running from 6.10pm to 7.10pm and led by local Music Teacher, Allison Barr this promises to be a choir full of fun and laughter as well as learning skills in singing and vocal production.
