June Close juneclose@ymail.com Fauldhouse Miners Welfare Committee are delighted to let patrons and users know that a full refurbishm­ent of the games room and gents toilets has been completed with funding support from Levenseat Trust. The Galaday Pageant for this year’s festival is as follows. Queen elect Summer Owens, Ladies in Waiting Eva Callaghan & Jessica Delaney, Trainbeare­rs Lois Rennie & Haleema Rehman, Maids of Honour Caitlin Lawrence, Niamh Mullen, Adrienne Kane, Amy Southwick, Ameera Clair, Ellie Martin, Skye McIntyre, Elle Millar, Felicity Edwards, Rihanna Bangura & Chloe Gowans. Unfortunat­ely no names were received from P7 boys at the time of the draw therefore all male positions remain unfilled. To encourage participat­ion the gala committee is now looking to recruit boys for the various male positions from either P6 or P7 and are appealing to the parents of boys in both these school classes to encourage your son to participat­e in this year’s gala day. Any boy wishing to take part should contact Gala President Mhairi Goldie or any gala committee member as soon as possible. Prize Bingo at Greenburn Golf Club on Friday 30 March. Admission £1 which includes a refreshmen­t can be paid at the door. Eyes down 7.30 pm and all welcome.

OPAL Older People, Active Lives - 60+ weekly activities group every Wednesday from 2-4 pm in the lounge Blackfauld­s Court (The Bield). St Patrick’s Night in St John the Baptist Hall on Sat 17 March at 7pm. The evening is more of an old fashioned get together with table games, Irish singalong and food. Bring your own bottle. Tickets £1 and all welcome.
