Parkhead Primary School, Bottle stalls, home baking, Easter Egg tombola, games for the kids, bouncy castles and ice cream. Kids Coffee Morning postponed from last week will now take place this Saturday March 10th in the West Kirk Hall. 10 -11:30am, Home baking, children’s tattoos, mail bar, craft stall & cake decorating. Tombola and raffle. Adults coffee/tea & a cake £2, kids juice & cake £1. Three course lunch served at noon. Open to everyone so please come along and support this community event. West Kirk of Calder Sunday morning worship starts at 9:45am. Sunday Club welcomes all children from 3yrs to P7 for fun games and Bible adventures, there is also a crèche every Sunday for children under 3yrs of age. DUNKIRK – 23rd February The second in a series of Pop-up Cinema screenings in the West Calder West Kirk was the Blockbuste­r DUNKIRK. The screening was thoroughly enjoyed by an audience of over 30 adults and teenagers Feedback was very positive and the next event will be a screening of the classic “Sunset Boulevard” on Friday 23rd March. The night was organised by The West Calder Community Cinema Group, supported by the West Calder & Harburn Community Developmen­t Trust. The Trust raises funds and supports events for the benefit of the local community. West Calder Pop Up Cinema will be screening the classic black and white film Sunset Boulevard in the West Kirk, West Calder. Friday 23rd March – 7pm. Easter Open Day 17th March Polbeth & West Calder Community Garden will be holding their Easter Open day Saturday 17th March – 1-4pm Polbeth & West Calder Community Garden, Limefield Road. Easter stone painting, Light painting, Fairy house walk, Stickman Trail, Harburn Water Fish Project as well as many other stalls and activities for all the family.

Scout Group We have vacancies in all sections for boys and girls: Beavers - Age 6 to 8yrs- meet on a Monday evening in the West Kirk Hall from 6.15 until 7.15pm. Cubs - Age 8yrs to 10yrs 6months - meet on a Wednesday evening in the West Kirk Hall from 6.15 until 7.30pm. Scouts - Age 10yrs 6months to 14yrs - meet on a Thursday evening in the West Kirk Hall from 6.30 until 8.30pm. Explorers - Age 14yrs to 18yrs - meet on a Thursday evening at the Community Garden from 6.20 until 8.40pm. We are also looking for adult helpers in the Beaver and Scout sections. Walking Group There is a weekly walking group, setting off from Stewart Court at 13:45 each week. Leisurely walking for all abilities, if weather is poor coffee and chat at Stewart Court. All welcome.

Friendship Café Meets on the third Thursday each month. The café meets in West Calder Community Centre from 1.30 to 3.30pm. Raffle tickets cost £1 per strip and tea/coffee plus a biscuit or two costs 50p. So please come along and bring your friends. Everyone is welcome.

Tuesday Club in Stewart Court is at 2pm every Tuesday with entertainm­ent followed by afternoon tea at a cost of £1.50 The Club is open to anyone in the Community West Lothian Fibromyalg­ia Support Group meets on third Sunday of the month, 1.30pm - 3.30pm at West Calder Community Centre.
