Party time for 20th

-

Mid Calder Women’s Group celebrated its 20th anniversary on style last week.

Chairperson Senga Wallace welcomed the ladies and gave an insight into the history of the club.

A lunch was then enjoyed by all 47 ladies before the music and dancing started, provided by Murray Speirs, who played lots of music to sing along to as well as some Scottish music to dance to. A celebration cake was cut by the two longest serving members, Ray Cunningham and Jean McVey.

A free raffle was also drawn with the prize - dinner for two at a Livingston hotel - being won by Lyn Bygate.

Senga said:“All in all, a most enjoyable afternoon. A big thank you to all who helped with the preparations for this special occasion.”
