Awards for Hardie and boss
It was double awards joy for Livingston as David Hopkin was named Ladbrokes Championship Manager of the Month for February while striker Ryan Hardie took the Player of the Month title.
The pair were rewarded for their parts in a tremendous run that saw the Lions jump into second in the Championship table on the back of four wins and a draw in their five league games.
An away win at Falkirk was followed up with a home draw against Dunfermline before victories against St Mirren, Dundee United and Morton.
There was even more reason to celebrate for Hardie as he received a call-up to the Scotland under-21 squad for their European Championships qualifier against Andorra later this month – and he hasn’t ruled out playing for Livi the following day.
The on-loan Rangers man netted four times in February, including a double against St Mirren in a 4-1 victory and an injury-time winner against Dundee United.
The young Scots take on Andorra on Friday, March 23, but Livi have a crucial league clash the next day away to Queen of the South - and the 20-year-old hasn’t ruled out the possibility of making the 1000-mile journey back to play on consecutive days, saying: “We’ll see what the timings are. I’m looking forward to it.”
