Pumphy fired up for title

-

Pumpherston could be crowned South Division champions on Saturday.

Should they pick up all three points away from home against West Calder United – the only team to beat Pumphy this season –they would win the title if Armadale Thistle fail to get the better of Livingston United.

However, a win for Pumphy would guarantee promotion to the Premier League regardless, with the title potentially being won next week when they host Lochgelly Albert.

Elsewhere, Fauldhouse United have a busy week with three games as they look to strengthen their cause for a swift return to the top flight with home games against Kirriemuir Thistle on Saturday followed by the visits of Arniston Rangers (Monday) and Tranent (Wednesday).

Broxburn Athletic make the trip to Superleague basement boys Forfar West End, while Linlithgow Rose are away at Lochee United in the East of Scotland Cup.

Bathgate Thistle and Whitburn both have away games, with the Jags visiting Arniston and the Burnie at Downfield at the weekend before making the trip to Downfield on Wednesday. Blackburn United host Tranent on Saturday.

In the South Division, there’s a home game for Stoneyburn as they tackle Edinburgh United while Harthill Royal will be hoping they can avoid an upset away to Kirkcaldy YM, who have just one point to their name this campaign.
