Animal welfare experts are appealing for a home for a gorgeous pair of black Labradors called Darcy and Nancy.

The best friends, Darcy 9 and Nancy 8, are currently based at the Dogs Trust in West Calder.

A Dogs Trust spokesperson said: “Darcy and Nancy adore each other’s company and would hate to be parted so they are searching for someone who will love them both as much as they love each other.

“This lovable pair can’t wait to be offered a home they can call their own forever and live the life of a pampered pooch, being given all the unconditional love, cuddles and yummy snacks a dog could dream of.

“Darcy enjoys a game of fetch and playing with her soft toys but her favourite thing to do is cuddle, she loves nothing more than snuggling up beside you for a warm hug.

“Nancy enjoys playing outside and chasing a ball then relaxing on the living room carpet for an afternoon nap.

“This adorable twosome love people and are very sweet natured, they adore human company and are looking for someone who can be at home for most of the day initially to help them adjust to their new environment and take them out on walks to explore the great outdoors.

“At age eight and nine years old both girls still enjoy regular short walks throughout the day and are looking out for someone who will be enjoy taking them out to exercise.

“All the volunteer dog walkers at the centre fall in love with this charming pair when they take them out to explore the woods.

“Darcy and Nancy are relaxed around other dogs. They enjoy playing and would benefit from a home with a garden, this way they can have fun with their toys outside, relax in the sunshine and sniff around all the grass, plants and flowers.”

The dogs can live with children around the age of 10 and above and would make fantastic pets and loving companions.
