Crafty kids can enjoy a summer of creative fun
A host of creative activities for children and performances for all the family are scheduled for West Lothian’s Howden Park Centre and Linlithgow Burgh Halls this summer.
Led by professional tutors, there are several activities to choose from until August 3.
Colour Craft and Create will be a fun and expressive week of activities where you will be encouraged to use your imagination, be inspired by the theme of the day and use the materials provided to influence the creation of your mini works of art.
With emphasis on the summer, and the use of bright bold colours, and shapes you will leave the sessions feeling sunny, even if it’s rainy outside.
Old clothes recommended, feel free to bring in CDs that you will enjoy listening to while you paint and build. It will take place at Howden Park Centre from Monday, July 30, to Friday, August 3.
Sessions for children aged seven to 10 are from 9.30am to 12.30pm and for those aged 11 to 14 from 1pm to 4pm. Tickets are £53.
Comic Art classes will see kids learn the skills needed to be a comic book and graphic artist.
Learn how to create characters, write stories and make your ideas come to life like a pro.
It takes place at Howden Park Centre from Monday, July 16, to Friday, July 20.
It’s suitable for children aged eight to 12 and takes place from 10am to 4pm. Tickets are £98.
Under The Sea will see kids have fun and get crafty making creations linked to the theme of the beach such as foil fish, watercolour fish bowls, sandcastle sand art, sea life bunting, coffee filter jellyfish, painted rocks, fish from recycled CDs and an aquarium in a shoe box.
It will be held at Linlithgow Burgh Halls from Monday, July 16, to Friday, July 20 and is for kids aged from seven to 10.
Sessions take place from 10am to 4pm. Tickets are £98.
Pop World will help youngsters learn basic dance moves and singing techniques in this popular class, led by professional tutors.
Children will informally perform their work to family and friends in the theatre on Friday.

My Little Craft Shop allows kids to have lots of messy fun making a wide range of art and craft creations, including personalised items - painted stones, keyrings, cards, wrapping paper and gift bags.
It will also feature mini mosaic mirrors and coasters and jewellery making.
It takes place at Howden Park Centre from Monday, July 23, to Friday, July 27, from 1pm to 4pm.
It is suitable for kids aged seven to 10. Tickets are £53.
