Karen Stewart 01506 882880 karen136wlc@yahoo.co.uk St John’s Project – PCAP (Preventing Crisis Advice Project) The aim of the project is to reduce levels of worry and distress to patients who are suddenly/unexpectedly admitted to St John’s Hospital, Livingston. Working in close partnership with West Lothian Council and NHS Lothian patients will be able to access relevant, tailored advice, information and advocacy regardless of their health condition or circumstances of their admittance. The project provides free, independent and confidential advice, information and advocacy services to patients of St John’s. Referrals can be made through the Citizens Advice bureau West Lothian on 01506 444814 and the Advice Shop on 01506 283000 or at the St John’s information desk at the main reception where a self-referral box is located.
East Calder Bowling Club Our newly refurbished lounge is now open and there is a noticeboard for upcoming Club Bowling/Social events. . Bingo is held on Wednesdays and Sundays from 7-9pm. Junior coaching take place on Fridays between 2-4pm `
Pilates welcome new members and beginners. The class is held every Thursday during term time from 9.30-10.30am in East Calder Partnership Centre. Just come along.
Old Folks Club We meet in East Calder Partnership Centre on the last Thursday of the month from September to April from 1.30-3.30pm. Pensioners and non pensioners welcome. Forget Me Not Cafe The cafe which is held in the Church hall is open the last Thursday of the month from 10-12 noon. Its a meeting place for people with dementia and their carers of all ages. Youth Club We meet in tEast Calder Partnership centre on Fridays from 6.15-8.45pm for ages 10 to 14 years. Activities include cooking, football, baseball, and other outdoor sports, pool, video games, board games, arts and crafts. Contact Gary Sneddon on 01506 774473. Needlecraft Club We are a group of ladies who would like to invite you to our weekly Thursday meetings from 7-9.30pm in East Calder Partnership Centre. We enjoy a range of needlecrafts including cross stitch, embroidery, knitting, crochet, sewing. Friendly tuition given. Members range from 18-80. Contact 01506 882427 for more information.
After School Childcare Simply Play at East Calder provides award winning afterschool childcare in East Calder. They are based in East Calder Community Centre and collect children from East Calder and St Paul’s Primary Schools.
