Fauldhouse United made it two home wins from two games with victory over Carnoustie Panmure in the East Region Superleague.

David O’Donnell opened the scoring in the early stages for the Hoose with Ryan Smilie making it 2-0 prior to the interval. United’s hopes of sealing the three points were given a boost when Paddy Conway was shown his second yellow of the afternoon for Panmure on 74 minutes before Jack Currie sealed the deal in the closing stages as the Hoose jumped up to eight place in the early Superleague table.

In the seniors, it was cup action for West Lothian’s three East of Scotland sides with both Broxburn Athletic and Linlithgow Rose easing through their South Region Challenge Cup Second Round fixtures, but Blackburn United were knocked out at the hands of Bonnyrigg Rose, losing 5-1.

Rose striker Tommy Coyne netted his 300th goal for the club as they beat Heriot Watt University 5-1.

Coyne’s milestone opened the scoring before a Kevin Watt brace was followed by a second for Coyne to make it 4-0 at half-time before Roddy MacLennan netted two minutes into the second half.

A brace from Conor Kelly along with goals from Nick Locke, Greg Binnie and Zander Miller saw Broxburn win 5-0 away from home at Abbey Vale.
