Tribute acts set for West Lothian

Two top tribute bands are set to perform in Livingston this month. ‘The Spirit of Bad Company and Free’will see five-piece band Free Again perform their spectacula­r show, dedicated to two of musician Paul Rodgers’ seminal bands, Bad Company and Free.

The show promises to be showcase a delicate blend of vocals, guitars and piano, punctuated by a dynamic rhythm section produce timeless, melodic classics.

You will also hear an acoustic section with beautiful piano melodies and vocal harmony.

The band’s line-up features several members of the band Hotel California Scotland who have had huge success.

‘Hear Wishing Well’,‘All Right Now’,‘Can’t Get Enough’,‘Feel Like Makin’ Love’and more.

The show takes place at Howden Park Centre on Saturday, October 13, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £18 or £16 for concession­s.

Also set for the stage is ‘Voodoo Room: A Night of Hendrix, Clapton and Cream’.

Paying tribute to two of the greatest names in rock history, Jimi Hendrix and Cream, Voodoo Room are a stunning power-trio featuring some of the UK’s finest musicians.

Members of the band have played with Ben E. King, Duran Duran, Stevie Winwood, Thunder and Fish to name a few.

A world- class show, put together in total appreciati­on of two massive pioneers of classic blues and rock, this is not a caricature tribute act.

Hear all the classics including‘Strange Brew’, ‘Hey Joe’and‘Purple Haze’.

They have been hailed as:“Incredible Musicians!” by none other than Neneh Cherry and rated“10/10 Superb!”by Classic Blues Mag.

The show is at Howden Park Centre on Thursday, October 18, at 7.30pm.
